Ambalappuzha MLA G. Sudhakaran has called for an end to food distribution by political parties and organisations inside the Alappuzha Government Medical College Hospital (MCH) premises. He said that providing meals to patients and their attendants should be the responsibility of the government rather than political groups.
Sudhakaran said a meeting involving officials and public representatives had earlier decided that organisations should not distribute food within the medical college compound. He alleged that the decision was not being followed and demanded the removal of party sheds and flags from the hospital premises to maintain order and neutrality.
