Several people were injured after a clash broke out between two Christmas carol groups in the Nooranad–Charummoodu area of Alappuzha district late on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025. Police said an argument between the groups around 11:30 PM escalated into a physical confrontation during the carol rounds.
According to police, the incident was linked to a long-standing rivalry between two local youth clubs, Yuva and Liberty. Some reports said women and children were among those injured, though police indicated that the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
